There have been announced two Bloggie Touch camera models by Sony. The camera models MHS-TS20 and MHS-TS10 offer 1920x1080p high definition MP4 video and 12.8 MP photos. Some of the features, Bloggie Touch cameras offer are: 3-inch capacitive touch screen, ‘touch and flick’ recording controls, F2.8 wide angle lens, Exmor CMOS sensor and three simplified buttons to control the device. Along with available option of letting users to direct upload to facebook, Flickr, Picasa Web Albums, and YouTube, the Bloggie Touch cameras also feature USB and HDMI connectivity options.

Interestingly, the only difference the two camera models share with each other is that of embedded memory with MHS-TS20 coming with 8GB as compared to 4GB memory of MHS-TS10. With both the latest released Bloggie Touch camera models,up to four hours of HD movie can be recorded.

Both the new Bloggie cameras will be made available in October.

There has been released an Interchangeable Lens HD camcorder named NEX- VG10 by Sony. According to Sony, the camera is world’s first camcorder which has an extra-large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, similar to those available in company’s NEX-5 and NEX-3 digital cameras. The lenses of the camera are also compatible with high grade “E-mount” series of smaller lighter senses, and have been optimized for video shooting in order to offer users silent operation and AF. Powered by Sony’s powerful BIONZ processor, the camera captures high resolution video and 14 MP still images via ExmorTM APS HD CMOS sensor, provided therein. Capturing high definition video at full 1920×1080 resolution, the NEX-VG10 can capture videos at max rate of 24 Mbps. The camera also comes with E-mount 18-200mm lens which is optimized for video shooting offering users powerful 11x optical zoom coupled with a host of other features including silent auto-focus system, and Optical SteadyshotTM image stabilization with active mode giving superior versatility.

NEX VG10 with its Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone offers users quality stereo audio with high directional response making it easy for videographers to get the sound, they want to have in their video with less space for background noise. There are also available dedicated inputs in the camcorder for users to add external microphones and headphones in the device to monitor sound levels.

The NEX-VG10 will be made available in September at pricing of $2,000. However, the same would also go on presales at sonystyle.com from July 14 onwards.

In addition of adding 3D functionality, the update also offers enhancement to normal 2D sweep panorama shooting, decreased power drain when camera is switched off and quicker start-up in low—light conditions

Well, there has been released a firmware update for its NEX-3 and NEX-5 interchangeable cameras by Sony which then makes these compatible to shoot 3D panoramas. Though, there has not come clear info about how with the update, the cameras captures 3D; however it has been revealed that for user to press the shutter button along with sweeping the camera from one side to other to active the 3D mode in the cameras.

According to Sony, having been loaded with the update, NEX-3 and NEX-5 capture 3D at higher frame rate which then create 3D panoramic photos for users to watch them via any 3D TV including Bravia models, the company recommends to watch 3D panorama shots with. Other benefits the update provide include enhancement to normal 2D sweep panorama shooting; decreased battery drain with switched off camera; and quicker startup in dimly lit places with all making the update important even for those who though are not great fans of 3D, would however be interested in getting capabilities of their camera enhanced.

There has been released its budget camera Alpha 390 DSLR by Sony in Australia. The latest released Sony DSLR has 14.2 MP CCD image sensor, light weight body, and 2.7 inch variable angle LCD panel at the back side of it. Built upon Sony’s SteadyShot technology, the camera can display images on a big screen TV via mini HDMI port, included in the device. Both SD and SDHC memory cards are provided support in the camera; the device which also has embedded MemoryStick Pro Duo Flash memory cards. The camera has also been enriched with Sony’s Quick AF Live View offering users the speed and accuracy via phase-detection and auto-focusing which also works well even on using LCD screen to frame subjects. The camera which is also included with SteadyShot inside image stabilization system to prevent the unwanted camera shakes while shooting a video or taking a photograph, primarily targets entry level photographers.

Explaining the device, Maurice Satya, Sony Australia product manager for αDSLR said, “With increasing consumer interest in professional photography, the α390 has been designed specifically for first-time DSLR users, letting them capture professional quality photos without the steep learning curve.”

There have been launched two new additions to its Alpha series of DSLRS cameras by Sony. These entry level DSLRs A290 and A390, are basically upgraded versions of Sony’s existing cameras A230 and A380.

In both the cameras, one can easily find subtle design changes compared to earlier DSLRs including improved grip, shifted around upper control buttons etc. Pried at $500, there have been provided 14 megapixels in A290 as compared to A230 model; a clear advantage of 4 megapixel to former.

However, as far as other specifications are concerned, A290 is similar to A230, showcasing 2.7 inch LCD Screen which can also be found in A230 model.

Coming on to A390 which is Sony’s new higher-end DSLR model, and is priced at $600, also offers same feel as to earlier released A380. Though, A390 has been made slightly different with tilted LCD screen and auto-focus live view features.

Both the latest released DSLR cameras will be shipped from next month.
