Olympus E-P2 resembles the old Pen “F” half-frame SLRs. But if talk about its appearance, one can say that it looks like a vintage camera. Moreover, the E-P2 is considered to be almost the same compared to the E-P1, but they are different in colors. The E-P2 comes in black.

The EP-2 is equipped with a 12.3 megapixel live MOS sensor, with the help of TruePic V processor, images are generated in JPEG, RAW + JPEG image formats as well as Olympus RAW.

Many people can considered the retro design of the camera is un-ergonomic and outmoded, but one should say that it feels right when you hold it. It is easy to use the EP-2. All you have to do is to put the camera in Program mode and set the ISO and white balance to auto and the camera starts taking shots.

The device is full of various modes, you are able to find iAuto, program, shutter priority, aperture priority, manual, SCN, ART, movie mode.

The EP-2 is equipped with a 3.0 inch HyperCrystal II LCD screen that is considered to be sharp as well as accurate. You are able to find a new clip-on electronic viewfinder. The camera is able to record 720p HD video at 30 fps, it offers nice quality. You are able to use manual exposure control in movie mode.

As for the image quality, the camera provides very good color, sharpness and contrast. It produces excellent shadow details. But if talk about the overall image quality, one can say that it is excellent.
