Though, HP has not confirmed about the device, it will be using trademark for; however as per the application form, it was confirmed that company’s usage of trademark will be limited to Computers, computer hardware, computer software, computer peripherals, portable computers, handheld and mobile computers, PDAs, electronic notepads, and mobile digital electronic devices.
And, in the light of HP to have already cancelled development of both of its tablets Windows 7 slates and Android based tablets, it looks that the PalmPad will be used by the company for its tablet running over Palm WebOS with Palm to was recently acquired by HP. WebOS being a powerful platfom will add up to the power and ease of operation of tablet computers. The OS which has integrated email, Facebook and other contacts in its Synergy application is best known to offer users amazingly powerful multitasking system.
WebOS which uses “cards” to offer multitasking has been found letting users of Plam Pre and Palm Pixi handsets run as many as four dozens of applications simultaneously. It is learned that both Palm Pre and Palm Pixi devices run over WebOS platform. So, getting such feature in a tablet would really be a delight for users who often are required to work on multiples applications at a time to accomplish their job.
