for developing android smartphone apps with Google App Inventor, there is not any pre-requisite for user to have software programming skills

On Monday, there was released a software tool by Google which makes developing Android smartphone app as easy as anyone can do it. Google labs has made live the beta version of the website for App Inventor for Android along with the video showing app developers the ease, the tool offers to develop apps with. App developers can also get new ideas at the website as well.

Offering a series of suggestions in app creation which include use of phone’s GPS function for location, SMS creation, and developing apps which can be linked to other service such as Twitter etc. According to App inventor website, “to use App inventor, you do not need to be a developer. App Inventor requires NO programming knowledge.” The app has software codes written by App inventor itself with software tool offering users options of including what they want in the app, they are developing.

Compared to Google’s App inventor where users can create app for their own special needs without having any programming skills, developing app for iPhone is surely a tough task as doing this not only requires for user to have software developer skills but also needs to seek Apple’s approval for his app with former having the practice of weighing down the app before approving the same. So, considering these facts, it looks that Google App Inventor will surely give Android mobile OS an edge over its rival iPhone OS.

Meanwhile, according to App Inventor site, to get started with developing apps with the software, user is required to have a Gmail account, a computer and an Android handset.
